Castle Leslie Estate & Surrounding Area
We have rooms reserved in The Lodge at Castle Leslie with wedding rates. Note that these can only be booked directly with the Estate by phone (+353 47 88100) or email (info@castleleslie.com).
Other Options for Accomodation
There are three accommodation options available within the Castle Leslie Estate itself: The Castle, The Lodge, and The Old Stable Mews.
Both The Lodge and The Old Stable Mews can also be booked at regular midweek rates through the Castle Leslie Estate website.
Castle Leslie is located in the charming village of Glaslough, County Monaghan, and there are several other lovely accommodation options nearby. In the heart of the village, Willow Tree Cottage B&B offers convenient and comfortable lodging and other options are available on Airbnb.
For a wider selection, the town of Monaghan, approximately 20 minutes by car from Castle Leslie, provides many additional hotel and guesthouse options — all easily found on Booking.com - and taxis are easily available from the Estate all through the night of the wedding.
Where to Stay
Before & After The Wedding
There are two main places to keep in mind when planning your trip for before and after the Wedding - Conor’s hometown of Naas and our wedding venue, Castle Leslie Estate.
We recommend basing yourself in Naas for the night (or nights) before the wedding and the night after the Wedding as we will also have a gathering in one of Conor’s favourite bars - Haydens.
Naas has a direct bus connection from Dublin Airport and excellent transport links to Dublin City Centre — around 30 minutes by train or 45 minutes by bus — perfect for those who’d like to do some sightseeing.
Naas offers a range of affordable hotels and Bed & Breakfasts compared to Dublin and you will get a more relaxed and authentic Irish experience. Booking.com is a useful resource for hotels, and we’ve listed a few options below:
Lawlors Hotel - Located in the heart of Naas town centre, right beside the main bus routes to Dublin.
Killashee Hotel - A beautiful property set just outside Naas, surrounded by lovely grounds.
The Osprey Hotel - Conveniently located near the main street of Naas, a short walk from transport links to Dublin.
Killossy House - A charming B&B about 10 minutes from Naas town by car or taxi.
Inglewood Lodge - A cosy option about 10 minutes outside Naas, near Punchestown Racecourse.
While Naas isn’t known for major sightseeing attractions, however it offers scenic walks and friendly cafés where you can enjoy the charm of real Ireland away from the bustle of Dublin. The town also has a great selection of restaurants and bars, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Flights To Ireland
Most flights from North America and Asia arrive into Dublin Airport in the early morning, while flights from within Europe arrive throughout the day and are generally no longer than 3–4 hours in duration. We suggest that anyone travelling from longer distances plan to arrive on Monday morning, and those coming from within Europe plan for a late Monday evening or early Tuesday arrival.
For guests travelling from Europe, we recommend Ryanair for the lowest fares, or Aer Lingus, Ireland’s national carrier, for a little extra comfort. Both airlines fly from most major European cities.
For those travelling from Asia or North America, we suggest using Kayak or Skyscanner to find the best fares and shortest flight times.
